Three nurses struck by SUV outside Philadelphia hospital during shooting victim drop-and-go

PHILADELPHIA — Three nurses were hit by an SUV outside Penn Presbyterian Medical Center on Sunday after the vehicle dropped off a shooting victim at the hospital’s emergency room entrance, according to Philadelphia police. The incident occurred at the hospital’s doors on Powelton Avenue and 38th Street.

Police sources reported that the SUV sped away after leaving the shooting victim, striking the nurses as it fled the area. One of the nurses is currently in critical condition, authorities said.

Details about the shooting victim and their condition have not been released. The other two nurses were also injured but are expected to recover, according to initial reports.
