Woman assaulted with stick after dispute in Fulton Street subway station

NEW YORK — A 29-year-old woman was assaulted inside the Fulton Street subway station Thursday night after a dispute with an unidentified individual, police said.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., the suspect bumped into the victim on an escalator, leading to a verbal argument. The individual then struck the woman multiple times in the head with a stick before fleeing the scene on foot.

EMS transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in stable condition. The suspect remains at large, and police are investigating.
