Timonium, Md. — A retired Baltimore County man walked away from the Maryland Home and Garden Show with more than just home improvement ideas—he also won $50,004 playing Powerball.

While attending the show on March 8, the man stopped by the Maryland Lottery booth. As he waited in line to spin the prize wheel, he decided to buy a Powerball ticket from J Convenience of Parkville. The next day, he discovered that one of his quick-pick lines matched four of the five white balls and the Power Ball, earning him a $50,000 third-tier prize. Another line also matched the Power Ball, adding an extra $4 to his winnings.

The lucky player, who attends the show annually with his wife, plans to put his prize money in the bank.

J Convenience, which sold the winning ticket, recently made headlines for selling a $3.3 million Multi-Match jackpot winner in February.
