NYPD searching for missing 16-year-old girl last seen in Brooklyn

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Sevena Pennington, who was reported missing after she was last seen leaving her Brooklyn home on the morning of Tuesday, April 29.

Pennington resides on 23rd Street in Brooklyn, within the confines of the NYPD’s 60th Precinct. According to police, she was last seen at approximately 8:55 a.m. leaving her residence. Her current whereabouts remain unknown.

She is described as a Black female with a dark complexion, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. Police said she has brown eyes and brown hair.

At the time she went missing, Pennington was wearing a white sweater, blue jeans, and brown and tan sneakers. She was also carrying a black bookbag.

Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities as the search remains ongoing for the missing teen from Brooklyn.
