Newark police not giving up search for teen girl missing for nearly two years

NEWARK, N.J. – Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Aaliyah Bryant, a 17-year-old girl reported missing on August 30, 2023.

Bryant was last seen the day before, on August 29, in the 100 block of Chancellor Avenue. She was wearing a long white T-shirt, black leggings, and a cross-body bag. Officials describe her as 5’3” tall, approximately 300 pounds, with a light-brown complexion, blonde hair, and a silver nose piercing.

She is reportedly diagnosed with Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and is known to be a frequent runaway, according to authorities.

Newark police continue search for missing 57-year-old man

NEWARK, N.J. – Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jean Kensel Pierre Louis, 57, who was reported missing on January 21, 2025.

Pierre Louis had been admitted to Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark earlier that day and was discharged the same day, but did not return home. He has not been seen since.

He is described as 5’4” tall, weighing 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue pants. According to investigators, he is in good mental and physical health and is known to frequent the area of South Orange Avenue and Sanford Avenue.
