$5 million scratch-off prize claimed by trust after ticket sold in Clyde
Clyde, OH — A top-prize Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket sold at a local Eagles club has now been claimed, with the winner opting to remain anonymous through a trust.
The Monopoly 200X Scratch-Off ticket, sold at Fraternal Order of Eagles AERIE #2291 on South Main Street, carried a top prize of $200,000 a year for 25 years, totaling $5 million.
The prize was claimed by Trust No. 352026, represented by an attorney, according to Ohio Lottery officials.
The trust selected the lump sum cash option of $2.5 million. After state and federal tax withholdings totaling 26.75%, the payout amounts to $1,831,250.
Lottery officials said the $30 Monopoly 200X game has overall odds of 1 in 3.35. As of April 21, two top prizes remain unclaimed.
The Ohio Lottery reports it has contributed more than $34 billion to education since its inception.
