Ohio Pick 5 jackpot claimed by trust after winning ticket sold in Garfield Heights
Garfield Heights, OH — A lottery ticket sold at a local beverage store has resulted in a six-figure payout after a trust stepped forward to claim a Rolling Cash 5 jackpot.
The Ohio Lottery confirmed that the MDD Trust, represented by an attorney, claimed the $120,000 prize from the January 11 drawing.
The winning ticket, purchased at Woodward Beverage on Turney Road, was a $1 manual pick that matched all five numbers drawn: 6, 15, 18, 23, and 35.
After required federal and state tax withholdings totaling 26.75%, the trust received $87,900.
Lottery officials said the odds of matching all five numbers in Rolling Cash 5 are 1 in 575,757. The game is drawn daily, with jackpots starting at $100,000 and increasing until a winning ticket is sold.
The Ohio Lottery reports it has contributed more than $34 billion to education statewide.
