Police say a 74-year-old man was assaulted during an attempted robbery by a group that included suspects armed with an assault-style rifle and a sword.

BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore police are searching for six suspects after a 74-year-old man was assaulted during an attempted armed robbery involving an assault-style rifle and a sword.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, the attack occurred at approximately 3:46 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, in the 2500 block of Liberty Heights Avenue.

Investigators said the 74-year-old victim was assaulted during the attempted robbery.

Police said the suspects are believed to be younger males. One of the suspects was seen carrying a gray assault-style rifle, while another was armed with a sword.

Citywide Robbery detectives have released video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help identifying the six individuals.
