BAYONNE, NJ – The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Bayonne Police Department are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on April 24.
Maryann Patey, 74, was struck by a black Nissan operated by a 31-year-old Bayonne woman near the intersection of 22nd Street and Broadway.
Patey sustained a head injury and was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 12:46 p.m. The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor.
