NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect involved in an assault at Lawrence J. Virgilio Playground. The incident occurred on Sunday, May 26, at around 7:20 PM, near 54th Street and 39th Drive.
A 56-year-old man was punched in the face by an unidentified individual, causing him to fall and lose consciousness. Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect fled on foot immediately after the attack and remains at large.
The NYPD has released media associated with the incident and is urging anyone with information to come forward to help identify the assailant.
