Washington, D.C.—Authorities have arrested a man in connection with an assault involving a knife in Northwest D.C.
On Sunday at 7:06 p.m., a suspect approached a victim in the 1400 block of U Street, Northwest, and assaulted them with a knife. The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended by responding officers. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, 43-year-old Mark Anthony Barnes, who has no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
