BALTIMORE, MD — A 23-year-old male suspect was arrested by officers from the Baltimore Police Department’s Southwest District following an incident involving a stolen vehicle. The arrest occurred late on June 28, 2024, around 11:20 p.m., in the rear of the 200 block of North Carey Street.

Responding to reports of a stolen vehicle, officers arrived at the location and discovered the vehicle with the suspect asleep in the driver’s seat. Upon further investigation, officers seized a firearm from the suspect’s waistband before taking him into custody.

The swift response of the Southwest District officers led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and the arrest of the suspect, who now faces charges related to the stolen vehicle and handgun violation. The Baltimore Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
