Stolen French Bulldog Reunited with Owner After Armed Robbery

Washington, D.C. – A stolen French Bulldog named Yurman has been reunited with his owner following an armed robbery. The dog was recovered on Saturday near Pennsylvania Ave and Alabama Ave, Southeast by the Violent Crime Suppression Division and Sixth District detectives.

On Saturday, Yurman’s owner was contacted by an individual offering to sell the dog back. The owner reported this to the D.C. Metro Police Department, leading to an operation that successfully recovered Yurman.

Yurman was taken during an armed robbery on Saturday, June 29, while being walked in the 1700 block of Fort Davis Street, Southeast. The suspect, armed with a gun, took the dog and fled in a vehicle.

Following the investigation, Raphael Lambert Loundermon II and Khaliah Johnson, both 27 and from Southeast, were arrested and charged with extortion and receiving stolen property. Detectives are continuing to work on identifying the robbery suspect, who was captured on surveillance footage in a black possible Honda with VA registration.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the incident should contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The D.C. Metro Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
