Thieves caught on camera breaking into van in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Suspects in a dark Infiniti sedan are being sought on Tuesday in connection with the theft of construction tools from a work van in Northeast D.C..

At approximately 11:00 a.m., the suspects exited the vehicle and broke into the van, which was parked in the 800 block of 7th Street, Northeast. After stealing tools, they fled the scene in the same vehicle.

The suspects’ car, a dark Infiniti sedan with Maryland Temporary Tag T1956045, was captured on surveillance footage. Police have released images of the vehicle and suspects from the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for tips leading to an arrest and indictment.
