Police seek suspect in Hollis Avenue shooting incident

QUEENS, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred Saturday evening on Hollis Avenue in Queens. Authorities reported that at approximately 8:45 p.m. on October 26, an unidentified individual discharged a firearm opposite 191-24 Hollis Avenue before fleeing the scene on foot, heading southbound.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but the gunfire caused alarm in the surrounding neighborhood. The NYPD has been canvassing the area for evidence and potential witnesses as they work to identify and locate the shooter.

The suspect is described as a male with a slim build and medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black vest, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and distinctive gold and black sneakers.

Detectives from the local precinct are investigating the motive behind the shooting and have asked anyone with information on the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward. The investigation is ongoing as police work to enhance safety measures in the area.
