STAFFORD, VA — An 18-year-old man from Manassas Park was arrested following an assault and robbery at gunpoint on Shasta Place late last week.
On Tuesday at around 12:56 a.m., Deputy R.A. Kehoe was called to Shasta Place to investigate a robbery that had happened earlier. A male and female victim had been robbed at gunpoint, with the male victim requiring hospitalization for his injuries. Deputy Kehoe interviewed the victims to understand the events that transpired.
The day before, just after 6:30 p.m., the victims arranged to meet a male known only as “Semaij.” “Semaij” arrived with an unidentified accomplice who wielded a firearm, robbing the female victim of cash while “Semaij” searched the male victim. As the victims tried to escape, the accomplice assaulted the female victim, and “Semaij” used a firearm to strike the male victim. Both suspects fled in a red sedan. The female victim was unharmed, but the male sustained facial injuries.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit identified “Semaij” as Semaj Parham.
