Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is kicking off the holiday season with three festive events at parks nationwide, offering millions of lights, thrilling rides, seasonal treats, and family-friendly entertainment. Guests can enjoy the traditional Holiday in the Park®, the walk-through Holiday in the Park Lights, or the Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience, all available on select dates through January 2022.

At Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, the festivities start tonight with the grand opening of Holiday in the Park®. The event transforms the park into a dazzling winter wonderland filled with stunning light displays, holiday music, fire pits for roasting s’mores, and world-class rides. Seasonal food items, including fried gingerbread cookies and roast turkey, as well as photo opportunities with costumed holiday characters, are also part of the celebration.

ighlights of the 2024 Holiday in the Park Season Include:

  • NEWTreeditions– This heartwarming spectacle will bring a family of musicians together to share their cherished holiday memories;
  • NEWThe Jinglettes – Singers will transport you to a winter wonderland through holiday favorites;
  • Holiday Magic: A Celebration of the Season & A Holiday Wish List – Every 30 minutes, experience the park’s iconic five-story tree as it lights up with a dazzling light show;
  • Candy Cane Crew – Be amazed as skilled jugglers light up the holiday season, spreading joy with their spectacular performances;
  • Rudolph’s Regiment – This beloved roaming symphony fills the park with festive tunes, keeping the holiday spirit alive;
  • Jolly Light Show – Stroll along a glowing pathway where trees dance in sync with festive holiday music;
  • Storytime with Mrs. Claus – Come gather as Mrs. Claus delights guests of all ages with cherished holiday tales;
  • Photos with Santa – Meet and take a photo with Santa through Dec. 23—perfect for capturing holiday memories; and
  • Meet and Greets with Festive Friends – Holiday queens, kings and princesses pose with guests throughout the park as they celebrate the season with holiday cheer.

“We are transforming our parks into beautiful winter wonderlands as we prepare to welcome our guests for a holiday celebration like no other,” said Bonnie Weber, senior vice president of park operations.

For a more relaxed experience, Holiday in the Park Lights, available at select locations such as Six Flags New England and Six Flags Great America, offers miles of illuminated displays, live musical performances, and select family rides. Meanwhile, the Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience, available at parks like Six Flags Great Adventure, allows visitors to view millions of twinkling lights, festive characters, and themed sections from the warmth of their vehicles.

Seasonal Flavors & Dining Experiences

New treats and the season’s favorite flavors await guests:

  • Granny’s Holiday Feast – Enjoy nostalgic comfort foods like glazed ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pies;
  • Central Brewhouse – Savor dishes such as stout pot roast and cheddar mac and cheese;
  • Holiday Treats – Spiked egg nog, holiday-inspired cocktails, peppermint fudge, seasonal beers and festive funnel cakes are just a few of the delicious seasonal treats available; and
  • Holiday Fire Pits – Gather around one of the fire pits to warm up with hot cocoa and roast s’mores (weather permitting).

Adding to the excitement, Six Flags has partnered with country star Brett Young and Coca-Cola for a holiday sweepstakes. Fans can enter to win a trip to a private acoustic performance by Young, coinciding with his new album Brett Young & Friends Sing the Christmas Classics.
