BEL AIR, MD – Maryland has a new millionaire after a Mega Millions ticket sold at a Wawa in Bel Air matched all five white balls in the Dec. 10 drawing, earning the lucky player a $1 million second-tier prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at Wawa #553, located at 709 Belair Road. For selling the ticket, the Harford County retailer will receive a $2,500 Lottery bonus. The winning numbers for the drawing were 12, 14, 26, 48, and 52, with a Mega Ball of 21.
This marks the second $1 million Mega Millions winner in Maryland since the jackpot roll began in September. The other winner, an Anne Arundel County resident, claimed a similar prize in October on a ticket purchased in Brooklyn Park.
The winner has 182 days from the drawing date to claim the prize, which must be redeemed at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore by appointment.
With no jackpot winner in Tuesday’s drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot has rolled to an estimated annuity of $670 million for the Dec. 13 drawing, with an estimated cash option of $317.8 million.
