BRONX, N.Y. — A 17-year-old male was killed and another injured in a shooting on Friday evening in the Bronx, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call for an assault at 1491 Macombs Road at approximately 5:48 p.m., where they found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
A male victim, who has not yet been identified, was shot in the chest and was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The second victim, identified as 17-year-old Andrew Mora of Seaman Avenue, sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was also transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
No arrests have been made as the investigation remains ongoing.
