REYNOLDSBURG, OH — A lucky Ohio Lottery player has won $1 million in the January 15 Powerball drawing, making 2025 a promising year for the winner.
The winning ticket was purchased at Winners Corner, located at 2036 Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Road in Reynoldsburg. The ticket, selected using auto pick, matched 5-of-5 white balls—8, 41, 52, 53, 58—but missed the Powerball, which was 7.
The odds of matching all five white balls without the Powerball to win the $1 million prize are 1 in 11,688,054, according to lottery officials. After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $720,000.
The next Powerball jackpot drawing on Saturday, January 18, is estimated at $331 million. The Ohio Lottery continues to support education, contributing over $33 billion to schools since 1974.
