WASHINGTON, DC — Gunfire erupted in Navy Yard on Thursday night, leaving a man dead as police launched a search for two suspects.
Officers responded to the 900 block of M Street SE shortly after 8:30 p.m. and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS attempted lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are searching for two suspects described as tall men with thin builds. No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unclear.
