Manasquan sweeps Toms River North in 5–0 tennis shutout

Manasquan High School improved its record to 9-2 after a dominant 5-0 win over Toms River North on Tuesday, continuing its strong season with straight-set victories in all matches.

In first singles, Padraic Gonzalez of Manasquan defeated Kyle Koppin 6-1, 6-0, setting the tone early. Declan Flynn followed with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout over Aidan Davey at second singles, while Michael McLoughlin secured a 6-2, 6-0 win against Michael Mastropierro at third singles.

The Warriors’ doubles teams added to the sweep. Lucas Gordon and Chip Kraus took first doubles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Tommy Rodriguez and Matthew Piscopo. In second doubles, Declan White and Cole Friedman were awarded a win by forfeit.

Toms River North fell to 0-9 on the season and remains in search of its first victory. The team was unable to capture a set across any of the five matches.

Manasquan’s lineup has now won nine of its first eleven matches, positioning itself as a strong contender in the conference.
