Man arrested for attempted murder in Southeast Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 57-year-old man was arrested Monday morning in connection with a shooting that left another man seriously injured in Southeast Baltimore, according to police.

The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on May 19 in the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway. Officers arrived to find a 43-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

Danny Sturdivant, of Baltimore, was taken into custody at the scene by Southeast District patrol officers shortly after the shooting. A firearm was recovered during the arrest.

Sturdivant was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, along with multiple handgun violations.

Gun recovered, charges filed following Pulaski Highway shooting

Police have not released a motive for the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional suspects are being sought at this time.
