Man shot near E. Stafford Street Sunday night

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A man was shot Sunday evening on or near a highway close to the 1xx block of East Stafford Street in Philadelphia.

The shooting occurred around 7:11 p.m. and involved a single adult male victim, according to preliminary information released by the Philadelphia Police Department.

The victim was transported by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment. Authorities have not disclosed the nature or extent of his injuries.

No arrests have been made, and investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting.

Investigation continues in weekend highway shooting

The incident remains under active investigation by detectives in the 14th District, which covers parts of Northwest Philadelphia.

As of Monday, no suspects have been identified and no weapons have been recovered at the scene.
