Blue SUV sought in failed Millersville robbery

MILLERSVILLE, MD — A man was assaulted during an attempted robbery outside the White Gables Motel Thursday night, prompting an investigation by Anne Arundel County police.

Officers responded to the scene at 8781 Veterans Highway around 9:15 p.m. on June 5. According to the investigation, a male suspect approached the victim and demanded money. When the victim did not comply, the suspect struck him with an unknown object and fled the area without taking any property.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, with a large build, and believed to be between 35 and 40 years old. He was last seen operating a blue SUV.

The victim’s condition has not been disclosed, and it is unclear if he required medical treatment.

Police urge tips in ongoing robbery investigation

Western District detectives are handling the case and are asking anyone with information to contact them directly at 410-222-6155. Anonymous tips can be submitted via the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

The investigation remains open.
