FINDLAY, Ohio — A Powerball ticket purchased in Findlay has earned one local man a $50,000 prize from the June 28 drawing, the Ohio Lottery announced Thursday.
The winner, identified as Andrew, matched four of the five white balls plus the red Powerball to claim the third-tier prize. The winning numbers were 4, 35, 43, 52, 62, with Powerball 12. The odds of winning that prize are 1 in 913,129.
Andrew bought his ticket at Pak A Sak #53, located at 1100 Trenton Avenue in Findlay. After required state and federal taxes totaling 28%, he will receive a lump sum of $36,000.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each and are drawn three times a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed over $33 billion to public education across the state.
