Felton Street Shooting Victim Dies at Hospital

PHILADELPHIA — A man was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in Southwest Philadelphia, prompting a homicide investigation by city police.

Officers from the 12th District responded to a report of a shooting around 2:51 p.m. in the area of 2200 Felton Street. Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds on the roadway, police said.

The victim was transported by a Medic Unit to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:43 p.m.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. No arrests have been made and no motive has been identified.

Authorities said, “The investigation remains ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.”
