Man gunned down on West Franklin Street as Baltimore police hunt for suspects caught on camera
BALTIMORE, MD – A man was fatally shot in the early morning hours last Saturday, August 9th on West Franklin Street, and now homicide detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify individuals captured in surveillance footage near the crime scene.
The deadly shooting unfolded around 1:20 a.m. in the 2500 block of West Franklin Street in Baltimore’s Southwest District. Responding officers arrived to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Baltimore Police released images of individuals they believe may have information related to the homicide and are urging anyone who recognizes them to come forward.
The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation, and police have not released the name of the victim pending family notification. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday.
