Armed trio rips chain and bracelet off man in bold Bronx stick-up on Bruckner Boulevard

BRONX, NY – A 40-year-old man was ambushed from behind by three suspects Sunday morning in a violent Bronx robbery where one of the attackers flashed a gun and made threats before the group fled with the victim’s jewelry.

The incident occurred around 11:35 a.m. in front of 1656 Bruckner Boulevard. Police said the three unidentified males approached the victim from behind, forcibly snatched the chain from around his neck and yanked a bracelet off his wrist. During the robbery, one of the assailants brandished a firearm and issued verbal threats.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the attack but declined medical treatment at the scene.

Following the robbery, the suspects took off on foot, fleeing toward Stratford Avenue. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police have not released descriptions of the suspects beyond the fact that there were three individuals involved. Surveillance footage from the area is being reviewed as part of the investigation.
