Two dead after fiery crash erupts on Hillen Road in Northeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A deadly early morning crash on Hillen Road left two men dead Friday after a violent collision sent both vehicles up in flames and shut down part of the Northeast corridor during the morning commute.

Officers were called to the 3900 block of Hillen Road around 5:47 a.m., where they found two vehicles fully engulfed in fire following the crash. Emergency responders worked quickly to extinguish the flames and rescue the occupants.

A 53-year-old male passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. One of the drivers — a 39-year-old man — later died from his injuries. The condition of the second driver has not been publicly disclosed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Accident Investigation Unit, which responded to the scene and took over the case. The circumstances leading up to the fiery collision remain unclear, and no details have been released regarding the identities of those involved.
