Man dies after stabbing in Oxon Hill as detectives search for suspect

Oxon Hill, MD – A 36-year-old man from Fort Washington has died days after being discovered outside with stab wounds in Oxon Hill, prompting a homicide investigation and a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

On the morning of September 8, officers were called to the 300 block of Bentwood Drive around 7:40 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive person. When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as Eric Levi Ventura, suffering from trauma.

Ventura was taken to a hospital, where he remained under care until succumbing to his injuries on September 11. Detectives have since confirmed the case is being investigated as a fatal stabbing.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is working to determine a motive and identify a suspect or suspects.
