Bergen County lottery player wins $1 million Cash 4 Life prize in Sunday draw

Trenton, NJ – A lucky Bergen County player is waking up a millionaire after matching five numbers in Sunday’s Cash 4 Life drawing, securing the game’s second-tier prize worth $1 million — the fourth such win in New Jersey this year.

The winning numbers drawn were 08, 13, 14, 26, and 38, with a Cash Ball of 02. The player matched all five main numbers but missed the Cash Ball, qualifying for the one-time cash option of $1 million. The winning ticket was sold at World of Wine & Liquor, located at 419 Valley Brook Avenue in Lyndhurst. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the prize.

This marks the fourth $1 million Cash 4 Life win in the state this year. In August, players in Bergen and Union counties each scored second-tier prizes, and a Middlesex County player did the same in May. Earlier in May, a Union County player hit all five numbers and the Cash Ball to claim the top prize, accepting the $7 million cash value.

Cash 4 Life is a multi-state lottery game that offers two jackpot prizes for a $2 ticket. The top prize is $1,000 a day for life, with a lump sum value of $7 million, while the second prize — $1,000 a week for life — carries a $1 million cash option. The game also awards seven other lower-tier prizes ranging from $2 to $2,500.

Players in participating states — including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and six others — select five numbers from 1 through 60, and one “Cash Ball” from 1 through 4. Drawings are held nightly at approximately 9 p.m.
