Man shot in leg on North Chapel Street hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries
BALTIMORE, MD – A 49-year-old man is recovering after being shot in the leg Sunday evening in East Baltimore, according to police.
Officers were first called to an area hospital around 7:45 p.m. on September 28 for a walk-in gunshot victim. There, they found the man being treated for a non-life-threatening wound to his leg.
The victim told investigators he was shot by an unknown suspect while in the 1800 block of North Chapel Street. Police have not released details about a possible motive or suspect description.
Eastern District detectives responded to both the hospital and the scene of the shooting to gather evidence and interview witnesses. The investigation remains ongoing.
