UTICA, NY – Two friendly pups are in temporary police custody after being found wandering city streets over the weekend.
A female beagle was located on Mulberry Street, while a male black-and-white pit bull was picked up on Gray Avenue, according to the Utica Police Department.
Both dogs were safely secured and are being cared for as officers work to locate their owners. Police later issued mugshots of the two pup-etrators.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the animals or knows their families to call 315-223-3461.
The dogs’ unexpected adventure earned them a night with the law — and now, they’re just waiting for someone to come bail them out.
