Teen fatally shot on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 17-year-old boy was killed Friday evening after gunfire erupted along Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast, police said.

The shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. in the 600 block, where officers found the teen unresponsive with a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
