AKRON, OH – A wanted fugitive is being sought by law enforcement after authorities say he opened fire on his girlfriend, shooting at her more than nine times.
Jerad Tatum II, 35, is accused of the violent assault that led to his current charges and is now wanted by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Investigators say Tatum remains at large and is believed to be moving between the Cleveland and Akron areas.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force has launched a regional manhunt for Tatum, offering a cash reward for any tip that leads to his arrest. The original charge stems from an assault case in which Tatum allegedly opened fire on his girlfriend, narrowly missing her during the attack.
Law enforcement officials describe Tatum as a Black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 205 pounds. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Tatum’s location to contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED or submit an anonymous tip online through the U.S. Marshals website. Tipsters may be eligible for a reward.
Officials continue to monitor known addresses and areas where Tatum has been seen in the past, including parts of Cleveland’s east side and Akron’s west end.
