Monmouth County player lands $1 million top prize from Mega Hot 7’s scratch-off

Keansburg, NJ – A scratch-off ticket sold at a Circle K in Keansburg made one Monmouth County player an instant millionaire last week, after scoring a $1 million top prize in the $20 Mega Hot 7’s game.

The ticket, which hit the second of three $1 million prizes available in the game, was purchased at Circle K located at 120 Carr Avenue. The win was officially registered on Oct. 15.

The $20 Mega Hot 7’s is one of the New Jersey Lottery’s higher-tier scratch-offs and has produced multiple millionaires since its release. The winner’s identity has not been made public.

The New Jersey Lottery continues to generate billions in revenue since its founding in 1970, with its profits currently directed toward supporting the state’s public employee pension system under a multi-decade agreement.
