Waldorf man hits $50K on Maryland Lottery scratch-off after multiple past wins
Waldorf, MD – A Waldorf man with a long history of Lottery luck is back in the winner’s circle after claiming a $50,000 prize from the Maryland Lottery’s $5,000,000 Fortune scratch-off game — his largest win yet.
The repeat winner, who has previously scored prizes of $10,000 and two separate $5,000 payouts, picked up his newest ticket at the 7-Eleven located at 11575 Berry Road in Waldorf. He and his wife, who also serves as his business partner in a local trucking company, say the winnings will be used to reinvest in their operation — but not before celebrating with a crab cake dinner.
The $50 ticket continues to pay out big. Launched in February, the $5,000,000 Fortune game still has major prizes remaining, including one top prize of $5 million, five $100,000 prizes, and seven more $50,000 winners.
Despite his latest success, the Waldorf winner says he’s still aiming for the top payout. The holidays often bring luck, according to his wife, who noted that most of his past wins have come during the winter season.
The Maryland Lottery confirmed that thousands of smaller prizes — ranging from $50 to $5,000 — also remain up for grabs in the game.
