Woman assaulted in broad daylight at Columbus home as police search for two suspects
COLUMBUS, OH – Police are searching for two young male suspects after a woman was violently attacked outside her home in broad daylight in the 2700 block of Freedom Trail on the morning of September 26.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, the assault occurred between 10:50 and 11:00 a.m. when the two suspects approached the woman’s driveway and confronted her near the front of her residence. Without warning, one of the suspects repeatedly punched the victim in the face, causing serious injuries that required medical treatment.
Following the attack, both suspects fled the area on foot.
The first suspect is described as a Black male between 18 and 20 years old, standing approximately 5’8″ tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has a tattoo sleeve on his left forearm and was last seen wearing a short-sleeved purple and black baseball jersey with orange shorts.
The second suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 15 to 18 years old, around 5’4″ tall and 130 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a green “Change” logo and black Adidas shorts at the time of the assault.
