Wilkes-Barre woman arrested after alleged assault violates active PFA order

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A domestic dispute on North Washington Street early Friday resulted in the arrest of a Wilkes-Barre woman accused of striking a man in violation of an active Protection from Abuse order.

Officers were dispatched shortly after midnight on December 5 and spoke with the 41-year-old victim, who reported that 46-year-old April Arnone physically assaulted him by punching him in the face. Police noted a visible mark on the left side of his face consistent with the reported assault.

The incident constituted a violation of a “No Hit” PFA order that had been issued against Arnone, according to police. She was taken into custody at the scene without further incident.

Arnone was transported to Wilkes-Barre City Police Headquarters for processing and arraignment. No additional injuries were reported, and the case remains under investigation.
