GIANT store in Dauphin County sells $50K winner in PA Lottery weekly raffle
MIDDLETOWN, PA — A grocery trip in Dauphin County turned into a $50,000 payday for one lucky player, thanks to a winning ticket sold at a GIANT supermarket as part of the Pennsylvania Lottery’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.
The ticket, number 00238955, was one of two drawn in the fifth weekly installment of the raffle. It was sold at the GIANT located at 277 Hershey Road in South Hanover Township. The drawing included more than 57,000 tickets purchased between December 2 and December 8.
Each of the weekly drawings leading up to the January 3 Millionaire Raffle grand prize awards two $50,000 winners, adding momentum for players hoping to strike it big in the coming weeks.
Winners of the weekly prizes must claim their cash in person at a Pennsylvania Lottery office. Tickets should be kept safe, as they remain valid for the main Millionaire Raffle drawing, which includes four $1 million top prizes.
The PA Lottery reminds players to check their tickets using the official app or by scanning at any Lottery retailer.
Support services are also available for those impacted by gambling through the 1-800-GAMBLER hotline or online resources like pacouncil.com.
