MANHATTAN, N.Y. – An off-duty NYPD Assistant School Safety Agent was arrested early Friday morning in Manhattan and charged with criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
According to authorities, the arrest of 20-year-old Manuel Guzman took place around 1:55 a.m. within the confines of the 13th Precinct, which covers parts of Gramercy and Kips Bay.
The NYPD confirmed Guzman’s employment status and stated that the case is under internal review in accordance with department policy. No further details about the alleged stolen property were immediately released.
