GREENBELT, MD – A man was rushed to the hospital Thursday after a shooting erupted just before noon in the 6000 block of Springhill Drive, prompting an active investigation by Greenbelt Police.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 12 p.m. and discovered a male victim suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting. He was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police have not released the victim’s condition or identity at this time.
