Off-duty NYPD officer arrested in the Bronx for alleged drunk driving

NEW YORK, NY – An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested early Friday morning in the Bronx after being accused of driving under the influence. The arrest took place around 3:32 a.m. within the confines of the 40th Precinct.

Police identified the officer as John Ferrer, 21, who was taken into custody and charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated and one count of driving while ability impaired.

The NYPD confirmed the arrest and stated that the internal investigation is ongoing.
