Man arrested in fatal Marshall Street shooting that killed one and injured another in South Baltimore
Baltimore, MD — A 24-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly double shooting that left one man dead and another injured in South Baltimore last November, police announced.
On January 5, Warrant Apprehension detectives located and arrested Warren Avery Mackey in the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged with First-Degree Murder and First-Degree Attempted Murder.
Mackey is accused of shooting and killing 37-year-old Kennard Miller and attempting to kill a 35-year-old man in the 1100 block of Marshall Street. The shooting occurred on November 13, 2025, just before 10 p.m.
When Southern District officers arrived at the scene, they found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The two men were taken to a nearby hospital, where Miller was later pronounced dead. The second victim survived his injuries.
Homicide detectives launched an investigation and identified Mackey as the suspect. No motive has been released, and the investigation remains active.
