Baltimore Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested After Police Pursuit and Foot Chase

Two men were taken into custody after police spotted a getaway car linked to an armed robbery earlier in the day.

Baltimore, MD – Two suspects accused of carrying out an armed robbery in Northeast Baltimore were arrested Saturday evening after officers spotted their vehicle, leading to a brief pursuit and foot chase across Northwest Baltimore.

Police said the robbery was reported around 3:58 p.m. in the 3500 block of Tivoly Avenue. Northeast District patrol officers responded to the scene after victims reported being confronted by two suspects, one of whom was armed.

Suspects fled robbery in damaged vehicle

Investigators said the suspects demanded the victims’ property before fleeing the area in a dark-colored Toyota that had significant damage to the front end. Officers quickly broadcast a description of the suspects and the vehicle across police radio channels.

Authorities began searching surrounding areas for the car while patrol units monitored traffic throughout the city.

Police pursuit leads to foot chase

At approximately 6:35 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers spotted a vehicle matching the description traveling northbound in the 5700 block of Park Heights Avenue. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled, prompting police to request aviation assistance from the department’s Foxtrot helicopter unit.

The vehicle eventually stopped near the intersection of Seven Mile Lane and Reisterstown Road, where the suspects ran from the car on foot.

Officers quickly pursued and arrested both suspects nearby. Police also recovered a loaded firearm during the investigation.

Two suspects taken to Central Booking

Police identified the suspects as a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old man. Both were transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where they were formally charged.

Officials said the coordinated response between multiple police districts helped quickly locate the suspects and prevent additional violent incidents.
