Police searching for two missing people believed to have left Maryland

FREDERICK, MD — Police in Frederick are asking for the public’s help locating two people who have not been heard from in more than two weeks and may have traveled out of state.

Tammy Hargett and Carlos Perez were last seen together, and investigators believe the pair may still be traveling together, according to the Frederick Police Department.

Family members reported they have not had contact with either individual for more than two weeks.

Authorities said relatives were able to briefly speak with Perez by phone shortly after the pair were last seen. During that conversation, he reportedly stated they were in West Virginia.

Additional information gathered during the investigation suggests the two may also have traveled through Pennsylvania.

Police are continuing efforts to determine their whereabouts and are asking anyone who may have seen either person to come forward.
