New York, NY – Police are searching for eight unidentified individuals accused of carrying out a violent robbery in Brooklyn, where a man was beaten and robbed of cash during an evening encounter inside a commercial building. The attack, which involved a weapon, has prompted an active investigation and public appeal for information.

According to the NYPD Crimestoppers unit, the incident occurred Monday evening at approximately 7:35 p.m. inside 6020 3rd Avenue. A 28-year-old male victim was approached by a group of suspects who then escalated the confrontation.

Suspects allegedly used knife and physical force

“On Monday, March 30, 2026, at approximately 7:35 P.M., inside of 6020 3rd Avenue, eight unidentified individuals approached a 28-year-old male victim,” NYPD Crimestoppers said. “The individuals displayed a knife, punched and kicked the victim throughout the body and forcibly removed $600 dollars from the victim.”

Police say the suspects fled the scene following the robbery. No arrests have been announced, and descriptions of the individuals have not yet been released.

The victim sustained injuries during the attack, though the extent of those injuries has not been disclosed.
