Multiple vehicles targeted in Pebble Beach area during 11-hour window
BARNEGAT, NJ – Residents in Barnegat’s Pebble Beach area woke up to multiple reports of deliberately slashed vehicle tires following an overnight vandalism spree, prompting police to search for surveillance footage that could reveal who was moving through the neighborhood.
The Barnegat Township Police Department announced the investigation Tuesday and requested help from residents with home security systems or doorbell cameras.
Police are focusing on activity recorded between 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators said multiple reports involving intentionally slashed vehicle tires were received from the Pebble Beach area.
Police did not disclose how many vehicles were damaged or identify the streets where the incidents occurred.
No estimate of the total damage was released.
Investigators are asking residents to review footage captured during the 11-hour period for suspicious people, vehicles or other activity that could help identify whoever was responsible.
Police have not announced an arrest or released a description of a possible suspect.
