JACKSON, N.J. – A 38-year-old Point Pleasant man suffered serious injuries Friday morning when his Jeep went off Interstate 195 in Jackson Township, struck a guardrail and went airborne before crashing into a concrete bridge rail, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers responded at 6:09 a.m. to the crash on I-195 east near milepost 17.6 in Jackson Township, Ocean County. State police identified the driver as Adam M. Riepl of Point Pleasant.
A preliminary investigation found Riepl was driving a Jeep SUV eastbound when he lost directional control near milepost 17.6, state police said. The Jeep ran off the left side of the highway and struck the guardrail before becoming airborne and hitting the concrete bridge rail.

Jeep Went Airborne After Striking Guardrail
The crash happened when Riepl lost directional control of the Jeep while traveling east on Interstate 195, according to the preliminary state police investigation.
